I’ve not been blogging or putting up as many videos as normal recently as I just haven’t had the time. I’ve been covering for someone at a Kindergarden which has meant being up at 5.30 am, which as a really bad sleeper, it’s quite difficult, I’ve also had a lot of custom cards to make as well as soaps to wrap and new ones to make so I’ve been a bit shattered, but thankfully, we’re off to Texas on Thursday so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! :-)
In today’s video I make a shaker card.
I have seen a lot of elegant shaker cards on Pinterest recently and really like them so decided to make one myself. I loved making it so much that I made a few more for custom orders, but I switched the colours up a bit using gold mirror card as well as the Whisper White.
Some people suggest using talcum powder on the sides of the foam pads to stop the gems sticking to the foam, but I don’t have any talcum powder to hand, so i just added a few extra gems so that it didn’t matter if the odd one stuck to the foam pads.
When I make cards this size they fit perfectly in the little tag a bag bags from Stampin’ Up! I love these as they are so versatile. I just add a little embellishment to match the card and they are done!
