Hi, for today’s card challenge from Global Design Project, the Theme is CASE the designer, which means – to copy and selectively edit.
I really liked the layout, so I chose to copy the layout and create a birthday card.
I decided to create this card by embossing the image and sentiment with white embossing powder, and then used an aqua painter to paint over the image. It’s a bit difficult to see clearly with a camera, but in real life, the embossed image is extremely clear through the ‘painted’ background.
I used Watermelon wonder card stock (one of the current in-colours) and co-ordinating ink.
The Happy Birthday sentiment was taken from the Balloon Celebration stamp set which I will be showing card ideas from it very shortly as it’s such a fun stamp set. The flower image was from the Flowering Fields Freebie stamp set that I received from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
