I mentioned previously about the Balloon Celebration stamp set bundle, so I decided to use this bundle to make a birthday card for someone.
To create the balloons, I used the punch that comes with the Balloon celebration bundle and punched them out of a mixture of Everyday Chic designer series paper and black card. With the balloons punched from black card, I also stamped them with an image from the stamp set using Chalk effect ink to add a bit of detail. I’m really into chalk effect items at the moment so this ink is perfect for me.
For the background on the front of the card, I used a stamp from the gorgeous grunge stamp set and punched out the sentiment using the Washi Label Punch – this can easily be cut out, but I’m hopeless at cutting neatly, so I try and use punches wherever possible.
Finally, I stamped an image and a sentiment from the Balloon celebration stamp set onto a wax bag that I used as an envelope.
